About TrashNabbers
We are two adults, a scooter, and a dog on a mission.
Our grateful thanks to the Berlin Public Works team which hauls our filled bags from curbside to the landfill, and the NH Department of Fish & Game wardens who haul off the truckloads of dumped debris that we laboriously lug from inner wilderness to roadside accessibility.
The woman behind this project is Carol "The Trash Lady" (who does the picking), and her hubby David "Mr. Lyme Disease" (who tries to scoot the trash bags, range hoods, automotive junk, mattresses and unmentionables to the curb or local refuse container).
We wear safety gear, gloves, and carry a fire extinguisher when remote.
We sometimes come across discarded needles, which we have been asked to leave in place, photograph, and report to the local police for safe pickup and drug-related research.
We have turned in three lost valid driver's licenses, two lost valid license plates, and an uncancelled check for $16,000 dollars.
We have found hundreds of discarded unscratched lottery tickets. None have won anything. What's up with that?
